Air Conditioning Clutch Drive Plate Adjustment

    Temporarily install the air conditioning compressor clutch drive plate (2).

    2. NOTE:

    Ensure the drive plate does not drag against the pulley when the pulley is rotated.

  2. Measure the air gap between the air conditioning compressor clutch drive plate (2) and the air conditioning compressor clutch pulley.
  3. Adjust the air conditioning compressor clutch drive plate adjustment shim (3) to achieve an air gap of 0.35 - 0.60 mm (0.014 - 0.024 in) (a).
  4. Install the clutch plate retaining bolt (1) and tighten to the proper torque. Air Conditioning Clutch Assembly Replacement (LV1) , or Air Conditioning Clutch Assembly Replacement (L96) , or Air Conditioning Clutch Assembly Replacement (LWN) .
