Cylinder Head Disassemble

Special Tools
- J-8062 Valve Spring Compressor
- EN-46116 Valve Stem Seal Remover/Installer
- EN-50031 Valve Spring Compressor (off-vehicle)

Remove the coolant air bleed hose fitting.
- Using the J-8062 compressor and the EN-50031 compressor, compress the valve spring (4).
- Remove the valve keys (1).
- Slowly release the J-8062 compressor and the EN-50031 compressor from the valve spring assembly.
- Remove the retainer (3).
Remove the springs.
- CAUTION:
Do not damage the valve guide. Remove any burrs that have formed at the key groove by chamfering the valve stem with an oil stone or a file.
Remove the valve seal. Use the EN-46116 remover. Do not reuse.
Remove the valve.
- Remove the remaining valves.
Remove the cylinder head plugs.
NOTE:
Ensure that the valve train components are kept together and identified in order for proper re-installation in their original position.
