Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
  2. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    Instrument Cluster(2) - Remove - Instrument Cluster Replacement

    Instrument Panel Extension(1) - Remove - Instrument Panel Extension Replacement 

  5. Steering Column - Remove - Steering Column Replacement

    Remove the left and right body hinge pillar trim panel (1). Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement

  7. Remove the INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG REPLACEMENT .

    Engine Cover(1) - Remove - Engine Cover Replacement

    Radio(2) - Remove - Radio Replacement

    Heater and Air Conditioning Control(2) - Remove - Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement

    Instrument Carrier Bolt(1) - Remove[3x]

    Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.

  14. Note the location and routing of the wiring harness to ensure proper reinstallation.
  15. With the aid of an assistant, lift the instrument panel carrier (1) upward and rearward off the guide pins.
  16. Transfer components as necessary.
