Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)

    Radiator Outlet Hose(2) @ Radiator - Remove - Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LWN) , or Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LV1) , or Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (L96, LC8) 

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct - Remove - Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement

    Coolant Recovery Reservoir(1) - Remove - Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (LV1) , or Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (L96, LC8)

    Radiator Vent Outlet Hose(2) @ Radiator - Remove - Radiator Vent Outlet Hose Replacement (LV1) 

  8. Air Conditioning Condenser Hose - Remove - Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Replacement (LV1)
  9. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe @ Radiator - Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (M5U)
  10. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe @ Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud - Remove - Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (M5U)
  11. Engine Oil Cooler Pipe @ Radiator - Remove - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LWN) , or Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LV1) 
  12. Engine Oil Cooler Pipe @ Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud - Remove - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LWN) , or Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LV1)

    Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud(1) - Remove - Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (LWN) , or Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (LV1) , or Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (L96, LC8)

    Radiator Inlet Hose(2) @ Radiator - Remove - Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LWN) , or Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LV1) , or Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (L96, LC8)

    Radiator(1) - Remove

  16. Transfer components as necessary.
