Removal Procedure

- Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
- Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
Wheelhouse Splash Shield -Right Side(3) - Remove - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Left Side) , or Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)
- Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Hose @ Engine Oil Cooler Pipe - Disconnect and position aside - Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Hose Replacement (LWN)
Engine Oil Cooler Bolt(1) - Remove[5x]
Engine Oil Cooler(1) - Remove
- Engine Oil Cooler Seal(2) - Remove and DISCARD[4x]
NOTE:
Repositioning the engine oil cooler inlet hose allows easier access to the lower engine oil cooler bolt.
