Installation Procedure

Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud(1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[2x]9 N.m (80 lb in)
Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Retainer(1) - Install[2x]
Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Bolt-Left Side(1) - Install and tighten[2x]9 N.m (80 lb in)
Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Bolt-Right Side(1) - Install and tighten[2x]9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe @ Radiator - Install - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (M5U) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (MYD)
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe @ Engine Coolant Fan Shroud - Install - Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (M5U) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (MYD)
- Air Conditioning Compressor Hose - Install - Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LWN) , or Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (L96, LC8, LV1)
- Battery Positive Cable @ Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud - Reposition - Battery Positive Cable Replacement (L96/LC8 with K4B) , or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (L96/LC8 without K4B) , or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LWN) , or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LV1 with K68 and K4B) , or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LV1 with KG4/KW5 and K4B) , or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LV1 with K68) , or Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LV1 with KG4/KW5)
- Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose - Install - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement
- Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube - Install - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Replacement
Radiator Surge Tank(1) - Install - Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LWN)
Radiator Air Upper Baffle(1) - Install - Radiator Air Upper Baffle Replacement (LWN) , or Radiator Air Upper Baffle Replacement (LV1) , or Radiator Air Upper Baffle Replacement (L96, LC8)
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct - Install - Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
- Air Cleaner Assembly - Install - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
- Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
- Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
