Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) 
  2. Remove the radiator surge tank. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LWN)
  3. Remove the battery tray. Battery Tray Replacement 
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Protective Cap(3) - Reposition

  6. Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable Fastener(2) - Remove
  7. Retainer(1) - Disengage[3x]

    Retainer(2) - Disengage[3x]

  9. Retainer Clip(1) - Disengage

    Retainer(1) - Disengage[9x]

  11. Lower the vehicle.

    Protective Terminal Boot (6) - Reposition

  13. Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable Fastener(5)@Relay(4) - Remove
  14. Retainer(1) - Disengage[2x]
  15. Retainer Clip(2) - Disengage
  16. Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable(3) - Remove
