Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
- Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
Instrument Cluster(2) - Remove - Instrument Cluster Replacement
Instrument Panel Extension(1) - Remove - Instrument Panel Extension Replacement
- Steering Column - Remove - Steering Column Replacement
Remove the left and right body hinge pillar trim panel (1). Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement
- Remove the airbag instrument panel module. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG SWITCH REPLACEMENT
Engine Cover(1) - Remove - Engine Cover Replacement
Radio(2) - Remove - Radio Replacement
Heater and Air Conditioning Control(2) - Remove - Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement
Instrument Carrier Bolt(1) - Remove[3x]
Instrument Carrier Bolt(1) - Remove[3x]
Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
- Note the location and routing of the wiring harness to ensure proper reinstallation.
- With the aid of an assistant, lift the instrument panel carrier (1) upward and rearward off the guide pins.
- Transfer components as necessary.
