Installation Procedure

- Assemble the engine front cover. Engine Front Cover Assemble
- Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant on the oil pan-to-front cover sealing surface. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

Use the EN-46109 pins in order to install the engine front cover. Engine Front Cover Installation
Install the 3 oil pan-to-front cover bolts (1). Oil Pan Replacement
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness - Install - Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness Replacement
- Water Pump - Install - Water Pump Replacement (LGX)
- Water Pump Inlet Pipe - Install - Water Pump Inlet Pipe Replacement (LGX)
- Position engine harness and attach harness retainers to engine front cover.
- Install the ground cable and the fastener to the front engine cover. Tighten fastener to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (1) - Connect
- Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe - Install - Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (LGX)
- Crankshaft Balancer - Install - Crankshaft Balancer Replacement
Install the water outlet (2) with radiator hose. Water Outlet Replacement (LGX)
- Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Adapter Replacement (LGX)
Camshaft Cover - Right Side (2) - Install - Camshaft Cover Replacement - Right Side
Camshaft Cover - Left Side (2) - Install - Camshaft Cover Replacement - Left Side
Water Pump Pulley (2) - Install - Water Pump Pulley Replacement (LGX)
- Air Cleaner Assembly - Install - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness - Install - Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness Replacement
- Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)
NOTE:
Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
