Installation Procedure

- Install the shift boot and knob to the front floor console trim plate.
Clean the stub shaft and shift knob screw (1) threads prior to reinstalling the shift knob to remove residual threadlocker using a (recommended) tap and die set.
- Position the transmission control lever boot and knob assembly on the transmission control lever.
- Apply threadlocker to the shift knob fastener (1) and install the fastener. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (MJK, MH3, or MM6) , or Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (M13) .
- Tighten the fastener to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Install the front floor console trim plate (1) to the console.
