Extension Housing Removal

Install the DT-47678 transmission holding fixture (2) and the DT-47678-10 holding fixture adapter (3).
Mount the transmission on a workbench using the DT-03289-20 holding fixture (1).
Rotate the transmission into a horizontal position.
Remove the transmission drain plug and drain the transmission fluid.
Shift the transmission into NEUTRAL (N).

Remove the shifter cover plate bolts (3).
Remove the shifter cover plate (2) and gasket (1).

Install the DT-45012 pinion flange holder to the propeller shaft transmission yoke (3).
Using a socket wrench, remove the propeller shaft transmission yoke nut (1).
Remove the propeller shaft transmission yoke washer (2).

Using DT-45019 flange and pinion cage remover, remove the propeller shaft transmission yoke (1).

NOTE:
Only remove the bolts from the gear position sensor plate. Do NOT remove the 2 bolts from the sensor.

Remove the manual transmission gear position sensor bolt (1).
Remove the manual transmission gear position sensor (2) and the manual transmission gear position sensor gasket (3).

Remove the transmission gap magnet bolt (1) and the transmission gap magnet (2).

Remove the rear extension housing bolts (1), nuts (2), and the brackets (3, 4).
Remove the extension housing (5) and transmission extension gasket (6).
