Transmission Over Temperature Detection/Alert Feature

The ECM continuously monitors the transmission fluid temperature. In the event that the transmission fluid temperature has exceeded a predefined threshold, the ECM will alert the driver via the Driver Information Center (DIC).
In the event that the ECM detects this scenario is present, the DIC message will read: TRANSMISSION HOT - SLOW DOWN.
