Removal Procedure

    Remove the manual transmission. Transmission Replacement (MM6 with LT1 Engine, MH3 or MJK with LT4 Engine)

  2. Remove the starter. Starter Replacement (LT1, LT4)
  3. Install the EN-50792  tool.

    NOTE:

    If reusing the pressure plate assembly, place an alignment mark on the pressure plate and flywheel for proper alignment during installation.

    NOTE:

    DO NOT use air tools to remove the clutch pressure plate bolts

    Loosen the clutch pressure plate bolts using the following sequence:

    1. Loosen bolts 1 and 2 one full turn, then stop.
    2. Loosen bolts 3 and 4 one full turn, then stop.
    3. Loosen bolts 5 and 6 one full turn, then stop.
    4. Repeat Steps 4.1 through 4.3 until all bolts are loose.
  5. Remove and DISCARD the six clutch pressure plate bolts (1).
  6. Remove the clutch pressure plate (2) from the dowel pins on the flywheel.
  7. Remove the driven disc (3).
