Preliminary Procedures Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement Disconnect the electrical connector.
1	High Mount Stop Lamp Fastener [4x] CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
2	High Mount Stop Lamp Procedure Remove the high mount stop lamp from the vehicle. Clean the area with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water to remove any gasket adhesive residue. Dry the area with a clean dry cotton cloth. When removing the protective liner from the new high mount stop lamp gasket, do not allow the tape to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter. NOTE: Do not re-install the high mount stop lamp, replace with a new high mount stop lamp.

Procedure

Remove the high mount stop lamp from the vehicle.
