Preliminary Procedures Remove the left side window defogger outlet outer duct. Refer to Side Window Defogger Outlet Outer Duct Replacement - Left Side (W/O HUD UV6)Side Window Defogger Outlet Outer Duct Replacement - Left Side (UV6 HUD) . Remove the right side window defogger outlet outer duct. Refer to Side Window Defogger Outlet Outer Duct Replacement - Right Side . Remove the communication interface module bracket. Refer to Communication Interface Module Bracket Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC)Communication Interface Module Bracket Replacement (Cadillac) . Remove the air distributor front duct. Refer to Air Distributor Front Duct Replacement . Remove the front floor door sill garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding Replacement . Remove the human machine interface control module bracket. Refer to Human Machine Interface Control Module Bracket Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC)Human Machine Interface Control Module Bracket Replacement (Cadillac) .
1	Instrument Panel Bolt (Qty: 6) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2	Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
3	Instrument Panel Tie Bar Procedure Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness in order to ensure proper installation. Support the HVAC module in order to prevent damage. With the aid of an assistant remove the instrument panel tie bar assembly from the vehicle. Transfer components as necessary.
