Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the CH-51999-3  guide (3) free from oil and grease.
  2. Mark a vertical alignment mark (5) by a white pencil on the CH-51999-3  guide (3) at a center of alignment tab to aid in installation.
  3. Position the transmission mount (2) into the CH-51999-3  guide (3) with the arrow on the transmission mount aligning with the alignment mark (5).

    NOTE:
    • No lubricant is allowed.
    • The transmission mount will be at the correct depth in the CH-51999-3  guide, when the upper tool rim (a) is in the contact with the top of the guide (b).

    Using a press or the CH-50342  threaded rod assembly, and the components CH-51999-1A  driver (1) and CH-51999-2  receiver (4) shown from the CH-51999-A  cradle bushing remover/installer kit. Compress the transmission mount (2) into the CH-51999-3  guide (3).

  5. Clean the hole for the transmission rear mount in the drivetrain and front suspension frame cradle.

    NOTE:

    Insure the transmission mount inside the CH-51999-3  guide (6) is in the correct orientation before proceeding. Insure installation reference line on CH-51999-3  guide (6) is aligned with installation reference line on cradle.

    Assemble the CH-51999-A  cradle bushing remover/installer with CH-50342  threaded rod (1 - 9) onto the drivetrain and front suspension cradle.

  7. NOTE:

    When the rim on the CH-51999-1A  driver (5) contacts the top edge of CH-51999-3  guide (6) completely, the transmission mount will be at it's correct depth in the drivetrain and front suspension cradle.

  8. Turning the nut (1), install the transmission rear mount to the drivetrain and front suspension cradle. Loosen nut (1) and tighten to ensure correct depth is obtained.
  9. Remove the CH-51999-A  cradle bushing remover/installer with the CH-50342  threaded rod (1 - 9) from the drivetrain and front suspension cradle.
  10. If the transmission rear mount is not positioned correctly, remove the transmission rear mount from the drivetrain and front suspension frame cradle and reinstall it.
