Removal Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
- Reposition the engine control module. Do NOT disconnect the wiring harness connectors. Hang the engine control module aside. Engine Control Module Replacement
Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Bolt (1) - Remove
- Slide the retainer lock (2) forward to expose the cable adjustment retainer (3).
- Using a suitable tool, raise the cable adjustment retainer (3) to the unlock position.
- Remove the range selector lever cable (4) from the range selector lever cable lever and the range selector lever cable bracket.
- Exhaust Front Underbody Heat Shield - Reposition away - Exhaust Front Underbody Heat Shield Replacement
Range Selector Lever Cable (2) - Disengage
- Range Selector Lever Cable Retainer (1) - Remove and DISCARD
- Front Floor Console - Remove - Front Floor Console Replacement (D06)Front Floor Console Replacement (DBU)
Open the stoppers (3).
- Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Grommet Nut (1) - Remove [2x]
- Range Selector Lever Cable (2) @ Body - Disengage
Remove the range selector lever cable screw (1) from the transmission control.
- Remove the range selector lever cable screw (2) along with the range selector lever cable (3) from the transmission control.
- Remove the range selector lever cable from vehicle by pulling it into the interior.
NOTE:
Reposition the left side of the heat shield. It is NOT necessary to remove the heat shield.
NOTE:
The cable screw (2) is not separated from the range selector lever cable.
