Oil Pan Installation

Clean the sealing surfaces.

Install a NEW oil filter seal (1)

NOTE:
The complete installation procedure of the oil pan should be done in 20 minutes.

Apply silicone sealing compound (1) to the oil pan surface. The thickness of the sealing bead (1) should be 3.0 - 4.0 mm (0.118 - 0.157 in).

Install the oil pan.
Hand tighten the 12 oil pan bolts (1).
Hand tighten the oil pan bolt (2).
Hand tighten the 2 oil pan bolts (3, 4).

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten the 15 oil pan bolts in sequence as shown to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
