Oil Pan Disassemble

Remove the oil filter cap (4) from the oil pan (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the oil filter cap seal (3)
- Remove and properly dispose the oil filter insert (2).
Remove the 3 oil level indicator switch bolts (4).
- Remove the oil level indicator switch (3) from the oil pan (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the oil level indicator switch gasket (2).
Remove the 2 location pins (4) from the oil pan (3).
- Remove the 6 oil pan baffle bolts (1).
- Remove the oil pan baffle (2).
CAUTION:
This engine uses a special high performance oil filter. Use of any other filter may lead to filter failure and/or severe engine damage.
