Circuit/System Testing

Ignition/Vehicle - Off
Disconnect the appropriate electrical connector: Q17 Fuel Injector
Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
Test for 4.5 to 6.5 V between the test points: Control circuit terminal 1 & Ground
- If not between 4.5 and 6.5 V
  Refer to: DTC P0201-P0204, P0261, P0262, P0264, P0265, P0267, P0268, P0270, P0271, P1248, P1249, P124A, P124B, P2147, P2148, P2150, or P2151
- Go to next step: If between 4.5 and 6.5 V
Test for 0.60 to 0.80 V between the test points: Control circuit terminal 2 @ Component harness & Ground
- If not between 0.60 and 0.80 V
  Refer to: DTC P0201-P0204, P0261, P0262, P0264, P0265, P0267, P0268, P0270, P0271, P1248, P1249, P124A, P124B, P2147, P2148, P2150, or P2151
- Go to next step: If between 0.60 and 0.80 V
Verify a condition does not exist with the component: Q17 Fuel Injector - Refer to: Component Testing
- If a condition exists
  Replace the component: Q17 Fuel Injector
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
Perform a conventional engine compression test. Refer to: Engine Compression Test
- If one or more cylinders indicate low compression
  Repair as necessary
- Go to next step: If all cylinders indicate normal compression
Test or replace the component: Q17 Fuel Injector
