Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Clean the 4 injector sealing surfaces in the cylinder head with a suitable cleaning tool (1) in the following procedure:
- First take the brush side to loosen the dirt.
- Accordingly take the sponge side to remove the dirt.
Remove the suitable caps from the 4 fuel injector nozzles.
- Fuel Injector Washer (2) - Install NEW [4x]
- Fuel Injector (1) - Install [4x]
Fuel Injector Bracket (2) - Install [4x]
- Install and hand tighten the 4 NEW fuel injector bracket bolts (1)
Remove the suitable closure plugs.
- Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe (1) - Install NEW [4x]
- Hand tighten the 8 fuel injection fuel feed pipe nuts.
- CAUTION:
Fuel Injector Bracket Bolt (3) - Tighten in sequence
- First Pass: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
- Final Pass: 60 degrees - Use the special tool: EN-45059 meter
- Tighten the 4 fuel injection fuel feed pipe nuts (2) to the 4 fuel injectors to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
- Tighten the 4 fuel injection fuel feed pipe nuts (1) to the fuel rail to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
Fuel Injector Insulator (1) - Install
Install 4 NEW fuel injector fuel return hose seal rings (3).
- Fuel Return Hose (1) @ Fuel Injector - Install [4x]
- Fuel Return Hose (1) @ Diesel Fuel Separator - Connect
- Install a NEW clamp. (2)
Install 4 NEW fuel return hose clamps (1).
Fuel Injector Electrical Connector (1) - Connect [4x]
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Check the fuel system for leaks. Fuel Leak Diagnosis .
- Install the engine sight shield. Engine Sight Shield Replacement
- When the replacement is completed, use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset functions.
