Installation Procedure

    Install a NEW gasket. (3)

  2. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Housing (1) - Install
    3. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

  3. Install the 3 EGR cooler housing bolts (2, 4) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

    Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve Bracket (4) - Reposition

  5. Install the turbocharger wastegate actuator vacuum control solenoid valve bracket bolt (3) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  6. Heater Outlet Hose (2) - Install
  7. Quick Connector Clamp (1) - Install

    Thermostat Bypass Hose (3) @ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Housing (2) - Install

  9. Thermostat Bypass Hose Clamp (1) - Install

    Install a NEW gasket. (2)

  11. Install the exhaust manifold pipe (1) to the EGR cooler housing.
  12. Install the 2 exhaust manifold pipe bolts (3) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    Install the turbocharger actuator pipe bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    Exhaust Pressure Differential Sensor (1) - Reposition

  15. Exhaust Pressure Differential Sensor Bolt (2) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)

    Charge Air Bypass Regulator Solenoid Valve Inlet Tube (2) @ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vacuum Regulator Solenoid Valve (1) - Connect

    Intake Manifold Brace (2) - Reposition

  18. Intake Manifold Brace Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [5x] 10 N.m (89 lb in)

    Connect the electrical connector:

    1. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (6)
    2. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vacuum Regulator Solenoid Valve (5)
    3. Exhaust Pressure Differential Sensor (4)
    4. Throttle Body (1)
  20. Engine Wiring Harness (2) - Reposition
  21. Engine Wiring Harness Clip (3) - Install

    Exhaust Pressure Sensor Pipe Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)

    Reposition the radiator surge tank engine hose bracket (1) along with the radiator surge tank hose (4).

  24. Radiator Surge Tank Overflow Hose (4) @ Thermostat Bypass Pipe (6) - Connect
  25. Radiator Surge Tank Overflow Hose Clamp (5) - Install
  26. Exhaust Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (3) - Connect
  27. Install the radiator surge tank outlet hose bracket bolt (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe Gasket (3) - Install NEW

  29. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Pipe Gasket (2) - Install NEW
  30. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe (5) - Install
  31. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Bolt (1, 4) - Install and tighten [4x] 10 N.m (89 lb in)

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose (2) - Reposition

  34. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose (2) @ Retainer Clip (3) - Install
  35. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Connector (1) - Connect

    Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose (1) @ Throttle Body (2) - Install

  37. Quick Connector Clamp (3) - Install
  38. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling
  39. Install the engine sight shield. Engine Sight Shield Replacement
