Installation Procedure

    Emission Reduction Fluid Tank (1) - Install

  2. Support the emission reduction fluid tank (1) with a suitable jack.
    3. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

  3. Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  4. Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Wiring Harness (1) - Install [5x]

    Wiring Harness (1) - Install

  7. Connect the electrical connectors. (2) [2x]

    Emission Reduction Fluid Controller (2) - Install

  9. Emission Reduction Fluid Controller Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [3x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
  10. Connect the electrical connector. (1)

    Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Shield (2) - Install

  12. Plastic Nut (1, 3) - Install and tighten [4x] 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    Remove the closure plugs from all open connections.

  14. Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe (6) @ Emission Reduction Fluid Supply Pump Module (5) - Connect
  15. Wiring Harness (2) @ Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install
  16. Connect the electrical connector:
    1. Emission Reduction Fluid Controller (3)
    2. Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe Electrical Connector (4)

    Install the emission reduction fluid shield door (1).

  18. Clip (2) - Install

    Connect the 2 emission reduction opening filler quick connectors (2) to the emission reduction fluid tank (1). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  20. Rear Wheelhouse Liner - Right Side - Install - Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement
  21. Lower the vehicle.
    22. NOTE:

    The drained emission reduction fluid should not be re-used.

  22. Refill the emission reduction fluid tank with NEW emission reduction fluid with a minimum of 5 liters (5.28 quarts).
  23. Bleed the emission reduction fluid system:
    1. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle.
    2. Start the emission reduction system leak test using the scan tool.
    3. Wait until the emission reduction fluid pump has reached the delivery pressure of 5 bar (72.5 psi).
    4. Stop the emission reduction system leak test using the scan tool.
  24. When the replacement is completed, use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset functions. Reductant Fluid Tank Level Reset 
  25. If replacing, reprogram the module. Control Module References
  26. Remove the scan tool.
