Removal Procedure

  1. Before performing the first steps, review the Emission Reduction Fluid and Emission Reduction Fluid Handling .
  2. Rear Wheelhouse Liner-Right Side - Remove - Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

    Disconnect the 2 emission reduction opening filler quick connectors (2) from the emission reduction fluid tank (1). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Clip (2) - Remove

  5. Remove the emission reduction fluid shield door (1).

    Disconnect the electrical connector:

    1. Emission Reduction Fluid Controller (5)
    2. Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe Electrical Connector (2)
  7. Wiring Harness (3) @ Clip (4) - Unclip
  8. Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe (1) - Disconnect
  9. Close the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1) with a suitable tool.
  10. Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe (1) @ Clip (6, 7) - Unclip [2x]

    Clip (2) - Remove [3x]

  12. Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Shield (1) - Remove

    Support the emission reduction fluid tank (2) with a suitable jack.

  14. Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Bolt (3) - Remove [3x]
  15. Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Nut (1) - Remove [2x]
    16. NOTE:

    A second technician is required.

  16. Lower the jack along with the emission reduction fluid tank (2).
  17. Remove the emission reduction fluid tank (2) from the jack.
  18. Pour out the emission reduction fuel tank.
  19. Put the emission reduction fluid tank on a workbench.

    Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)

    NOTE:

    A second technician is required, to hold the emission reduction fluid tank during the removal procedure of the emission reduction fluid tank pump module ring (2).

    Remove the emission reduction fluid tank pump module ring (2), using the CH-45722  wrench (1).

    NOTE:

    Before removing the emission reduction fluid supply pump module, mark the position of the emission reduction fluid supply pump module lash (3).

    Emission Reduction Fluid Supply Pump Module (1) - Remove

  23. Remove and DISCARD the seal. (2)
