Installation Procedure
Install a NEW seal. (3)
- Install the emission reduction fluid supply pump module (1) to the emission reduction fluid tank. Guide the gummed heater stripes (2) into the emission reduction fluid tank opening.
- NOTE:
A second technician is required, to hold the emission reduction fluid tank during the installation procedure of the emission reduction fluid tank pump module ring (2).
Install the emission reduction fluid tank pump module ring (2), using the CH-45722 wrench (1).
Connect the electrical connector. (1)
Emission Reduction Fluid Tank (2) - Install
- Support the emission reduction fluid tank (1) with a suitable jack.
- Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [3x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Shield (1) - Install
- Clip (2) - Install [3x]

Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe (1) @ Clip (6, 7) - Install [2x]
- Remove the tightness tool from the emission reduction fluid exhaust front pipe injector supply pipe (1).
- Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe (1) - Connect
- Wiring Harness (3) @ Clip (4) - Install
- Connect the electrical connector:
- Emission Reduction Fluid Controller (5)
- Emission Reduction Fluid Exhaust Front Pipe Injector Supply Pipe Electrical Connector (2)
Install the emission reduction fluid shield door (1).
- Clip (2) - Install
Connect the 2 emission reduction opening filler quick connectors (2) to the emission reduction fluid tank (1) - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Rear Wheelhouse Liner - Right Side - Install - Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement
- Lower the vehicle.
- Refill the emission reduction fluid tank with NEW emission reduction fluid with a minimum of 5 liters (5.28 quarts).
- Bleed the emission reduction fluid system:
- Connect the scan tool to the vehicle.
- Start the emission reduction system leak test using the scan tool.
- Wait until the emission reduction fluid pump has reached the delivery pressure of 5 bar (72.5 psi).
- Stop the emission reduction system leak test using the scan tool.
- Perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset
- Perform the reductant fluid tank level reset. Reductant Fluid Tank Level Reset
- Remove the scan tool.
Ensure that the emission reduction fluid supply pump module lash (4) accords to the previously made mark.
The drained emission reduction fluid should not be re-used.
