Installation Procedure
- Prepare the NEW brake pipes for the installation. Refer to Brake Pipe Replacement .
Brake Pipe (1)@Retainer (2) - Connect [2x]
Brake Pipe (2)@Retainer (1) - Connect [2x]
- Remove the caps from the EBM brake pipe inlet ports.
- Remove the caps from the brake pipe fittings.
- WARNING:
Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.
CAUTION:Refer to Fastener Caution .
Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft) [2x]
Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Install
- Radiator Surge Tank Clip (2) - Install
- Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement - Install
- Raise the vehicle.
Remove the caps from the brake pipe fittings.
- Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft) [2x]
- Lower the vehicle.
