Installation Procedure

    Position the brake pedal assembly to the vehicle.

  2. Install the 3 third-hand-features (1) and (2) to the brake pedal assembly.
  3. Install the wiring harness to brake pedal bracket.

    Install the 4 brake pedal bracket bolts (1) to the tie bar loosely. Do not tightening yet.

    Install the NEW click fit connector (1) to the brake pedal.

    Connect the brake pedal push rod (1) to the brake pedal (2).

  7. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement - Install
  8. Accelerator Pedal Replacement - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Tighten the 4 brake pedal bracket bolts (1) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  10. Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side - Install
  11. Steering Column Replacement - Install
  12. Intermediate Steering Shaft@Steering Gear - Install - Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
  13. Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement - Install

    Install the 3 brake pedal bracket nuts (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

    Connect the 3 brake pressure pipes (1) to the brake pipe retainer (2)

    Install the brake pressure module valve bracket bolt (1) to the brake pressure module valve bracket (2) and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

    Power Brake Booster Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 19 N.m (14 lb ft)

    NOTE:

    Ensure all passages of the vacuum pipe are clean and free of debris prior to installation.

    If equipped, connect the power brake booster vacuum pipe (2) to the power brake booster.

  19. If equipped, connect the power brake booster vacuum pipe (2) to the power brake booster vacuum pipe retainer (1)

    NOTE:

    Ensure all passages of the vacuum pipe are clean and free of debris prior to installation.

    If equipped, connect the power brake booster vacuum pipe sensor (2) to the power brake booster.

  21. If equipped, connect the power brake booster vacuum pipe sensor connector (3) to the power brake booster vacuum pipe sensor.
  22. If equipped, connect the power brake booster vacuum pipe (4) to the power brake booster vacuum pipe retainer (1).

    Install the brake fluid level indicator switch plug (1) to the brake fluid level indicator switch (2).

    Install the radiator surge tank (1).

  25. Install the radiator surge tank clip (2).
  26. Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement - Install
  27. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection - Connect
  28. Learn the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Control Module References .
