Removal Procedure
Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover - Remove - Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement
Transmission Vent Hose (1) - Remove - Position aside
- Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Remove - Position aside
Radiator Surge Tank Clip (2) - Remove
- Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Remove - Position aside
Electrical Connector (1)@Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch - Disconnect
Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe (1)@Power Brake Booster - Disconnect
Power Brake Booster Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket (2) - Remove
Pull the power brake booster carefully to the front and remove the 3 brake pedal bracket nuts (1).
Intermediate Steering Shaft (1)@Steering Gear - Disconnect - Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
Instrument Panel Assembly (1) - Remove - Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement
Instrument Panel Tie Bar (5) - Remove - Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement
Accelerator Pedal (2) - Remove - Accelerator Pedal Replacement
Brake Pedal Position Sensor (3) - Remove - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
Disconnect the brake pedal push rod (1) from the brake pedal (2). Press the 2 tabs of the click fit connector (3) together and pull the brake pedal a bit to facilitate the removal.
- Remove and DISCARD the click fit connector (3).
Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]
Remove the 4 parking brake lever pedal assembly bolts (2) from the park brake pedal.
- Remove the park brake lever pedal assembly (1) from the brake pedal assembly.
Remove the parking brake cable protector (1) from the brake pedal assembly.
- Remove the brake pedal assembly from the vehicle.
Do NOT disconnect the engine coolant hoses.
