Installation Procedure
- Install the brake pedal assembly to the vehicle.
Install the parking brake cable protector (1) to the brake pedal assembly.
Install the parking brake lever pedal assembly (1) to the brake pedal assembly.
- Install the 4 parking brake lever pedal assembly bolts (2) and tighten to 22N.m (16 lb ft).
Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install [2x]
Install the NEW click fit connector (3) to the brake pedal.
- Connect the brake pedal push rod (1) to the brake pedal (2).
Brake Pedal Position Sensor (3) - Install - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
Accelerator Pedal (2) - Install - Accelerator Pedal Replacement
Instrument Panel Tie Bar (5) - Install - Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement
Instrument Panel Assembly (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement
Intermediate Steering Shaft (1)@Steering Gear - Install - Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
Install the 3 brake pedal bracket nuts (1) and tighten to 22N.m (16 lb ft).
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket (2) - Install and tighten 20N.m (15 lb ft)
Power Brake Booster Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 19N.m (14 lb ft)
Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe (1)@Power Brake Booster - Connect
Electrical Connector (1)@Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch - Connect
Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Install
- Radiator Surge Tank Clip (2) - Install
Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Install
- Transmission Vent Hose (1) - Install
Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover - Install - Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Learn the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Control Module References .
