Installation Procedure
Remove the caps and plugs from the brake pipe fitting and plug the master cylinder outlet port.
- Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe (1)@Brake Master Cylinder Assembly (2) - Install, but do NOT tighten
- Remove the caps and plugs from the brake pipe fitting and the BPMV inlet port.
- Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe (1)@Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) - Install, but do NOT tighten
- Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe - Tighten 20 N.m (15 lb ft) [2x]
Electrical Connector (1)@Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch (2) - Connect
Radiator Surge Tank (1) - Install
- Radiator Surge Tank Bracket Clip (2) - Install
- Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement - Install
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
WARNING:
Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.
