Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)
  2. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct - Remove - Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement 
  3. GM3686944

    Disconnect the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve electrical connector (8) from the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve (5).

  4. Remove the 3 turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve hose clamps (2, 4, 6). Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  5. Remove the 3 turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve hoses (1, 3, 7) from the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve (5).
  6. GM3686945

    Remove the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve bolt (2).

  7. Remove the turbocharger wastegate regulator solenoid valve (1).
