Installation Procedure

  1. GM3974149
    NOTE:

    Upon installation of the intake manifold, ensure the gasket remains properly seated into the intake manifold (2).

    Install a NEW intake manifold gasket.(1)

  2. GM3974138

    Install the intake manifold.(2)

  3. Hand tighten the bolts.(1)
  4. GM3974181

    Tighten the bolts in sequence. 15N.m (11 lb ft)

  5. Throttle Body Assembly Replacement - Install
  6. GM3974126

    Connect the electrical connectors.(1, 2)

  7. Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement - Install
  8. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement - Connect
  9. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement - Install
  10. Intake Manifold Cover Replacement  - Install
