Stator Shaft Support Installation

1	Stator Shaft Support Procedure Apply lube onto the support seal for ease of installation. Do not force the support into place. Take the transmission out of park. Install the stator shaft support into the transmission. Rotate the input shaft back and forth to engage the reaction carrier assembly to the low clutch roller. Special Tools DT-45053 Universal Clamp Press Equivalent regional tools:Special Tools
2	Input Shaft Support Bolt [12x] CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Use NEW bolts. Tighten in sequence First Pass: 12 N.m (106 lb in) Final Pass: 120 degrees

Procedure

Apply lube onto the support seal for ease of installation. Do not force the support into place.
Take the transmission out of park.
Install the stator shaft support into the transmission.
Rotate the input shaft back and forth to engage the reaction carrier assembly to the low clutch roller.

Input Shaft Support Bolt [12x]

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure
Use NEW bolts.
Tighten in sequence

First Pass: 12 N.m (106 lb in)
Final Pass: 120 degrees
