1	Propeller Shaft Transmission Flange Fluid Seal NOTE: Install a NEW seal, it is not reusable. Procedure Using J-36825-A Output Shaft Oil Seal Remover and J-23907-1 Slide Hammer, remove the rear transmission housing oil seal (1) from the transmission housing. Use care in order to avoid damaging the output shaft. Lubricate the seal with clean transmission fluid. Use J-38869 Seal Installer to install the seal. Special Tool J-23907-1 Slide Hammer J-36825-A Output Shaft Oil Seal Remover J-38869 Seal Installer For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Propeller Shaft Transmission Flange Fluid Seal

NOTE:

Install a NEW seal, it is not reusable.

Procedure

Using J-36825-A Output Shaft Oil Seal Remover and J-23907-1 Slide Hammer, remove the rear transmission housing oil seal (1) from the transmission housing. Use care in order to avoid damaging the output shaft.
Lubricate the seal with clean transmission fluid.
Use J-38869 Seal Installer to install the seal.
