Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel)
  3. Remove Front Brake Rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JD9)Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J95)
  4. Disconnect Wheel Speed Sensor Electrical Connector
  5. Release Wheel Speed Sensor Electrical Connector Clip (1)

  6. Release Wheel Speed Sensor Harness Clip (1) @ Brake Hose

  7. Release Wheel Speed Sensor Harness Clip (1) @ Steering Knuckle

  8. Remove the front wheel hub and bearing bolts. Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing and Seal Replacement (Light Duty)Front Wheel Hub, Bearing and Seal Replacement (Heavy Duty)
  9. Remove the front wheel hub and bearing assembly from the steering knuckle while carefully feeding the wheel speed sensor harness through the brake shield.
  10. Remove Wheel Speed Sensor Bolt (1)
