Installation Procedure

  1. Install the heater and air conditioning control with cables (1) through the opening.

  2. Install the heater and A/C control (2).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the heater and A/C control screws (1) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (23 lb in).
  4. Install the instrument panel (I/P) lower trim plate applique (3). Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Plate Applique Replacement .

  5. Attach the mode control cable (2) to the HVAC module.

  6. Install the mode control cable retaining screw (1) and tighten to 1.2 N.m (11 lb in).
  7. Attach the inside air recirculating control cable (2) to the HVAC module.

  8. Install the inside air recirculating control cable retaining screw (1) and tighten to 1.2 N.m (11 lb in).
  9. Attach the temperature control cable (2) from the HVAC module.

  10. Install the temperature control cable retaining screw (1) and tighten to 1.2 N.m (11 lb in).
  11. Install the floor air outlet duct (2). Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side (Left Hand Drive)Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side (Right Hand Drive) .

  12. Install the instrument panel compartment (2). Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .

  13. Install the instrument panel knee bolster (3). Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .

  14. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
