Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    If you are installing a new lock cylinder, refer to Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Coding .

  1. Install the front side door lock cylinder cover (4) to the front side door lock cylinder (5).

  2. Install the front side door lock cylinder assembly (3) to the front side door handle.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Ensure that the lock cylinder gasket is in place when installing the lock cylinder to the handle.

  3. Install the front side door lock cylinder screw access plug (1) and front side door lock cylinder clamp screw (2) and tighten to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
  4. Install the front side door lock cylinder rod.
  5. Install the water deflector.
  6. Install the front side door trim. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Replacement .
  7. Inspect the lock cylinder for proper operation.
