Removal Procedure

CAUTION:
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Apply and release the brake pedal several times until it becomes firm to deplete the brake booster vacuum reserve.
- Remove the brake master cylinder assembly. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement (LHD) .
- Remove the power vacuum brake booster check valve and hose assembly from the brake booster grommet. Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Check Valve and Hose Replacement (LHD) .
- Remove the I/P knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
- Remove the retaining clip (1) and pin (2) from brake pedal.
- Disconnect the brake booster pushrod (3) from the brake pedal.
- Remove the brake, accelerator and clutch pedal bracket nuts (1) retaining the power vacuum brake booster assembly.
- Remove the power vacuum brake booster assembly (1) from the vehicle.
