Installation Procedure

  1. Install the master cylinder reservoir, if removed. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement (RHD Home Reservoir) .

  3. Install the brake master cylinder (1) to the power vacuum brake booster.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install the brake master cylinder nuts (1) and tighten to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
  6. Connect the brake pressure modulator valve primary pipe fitting. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe Replacement (RHD) .
  7. Connect the brake pressure modulator valve secondary pipe fitting. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe Replacement (RHD) .

  9. Connect the brake master cylinder reservoir hose (2) to the brake master cylinder home reservoir and install the brake master cylinder reservoir hose clamp (1).
  10. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (L5Q)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LV7) .
  11. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  12. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
