Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation tube (front). Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement (L5Q (Front)) Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement (L5Q (Rear)) .
  2. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2) and position the air cleaner outlet duct (1) away from the engine.

  3. Using a suitable tool, cut a slot in the tamper-resistant positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) bolt heads (4) and remove with a flat-bladed tool. Discard bolts (4).

  4. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct assembly (1) with the positive crankcase ventilation tube (2) and valve (3) from the engine. Discard the assembly (2, 3, 4).
