Input Shaft Assemble

Special Tools
- DT-46496 Gear, Bearing Installer
- DT-49080 Gear, Bearing Installer
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
- Install the 3rd gear bearing (2).
NOTE: Coat all of the inner parts the gear, the bearing and the oil seal with gear fluid.
- Install the 3rd gear and synchronizer ring (1).
- Install the 3rd-4th synchronizer hub (2) to the sleeve (1).
- Install the key units (3) into the key groove of the hub and sleeve.NOTE: Make sure that the key units is properly seated into the key groove of sleeve and hub.
- Insert the 3rd-4th hub assembly (2) into the input shaft.
NOTE:
- Position the longer flange of hub toward the third gear and match the key groove of hub to the synchronizer ring lug.
- When installing gear, bearing and hub assembly, install them slowly using the DT-46496 gear, bearing installer (1) and a press. If overpressed, the gear teeth may be damaged.
- Install the 3rd-4th hub assembly using the DT-46496 gear, bearing installer (1) and a press.
- Install the 3rd-4th synchronizer circlip (2).
- Install the 4th synchronizer ring (1).NOTE: Match the synchronizer ring lug to the key groove of hub.
- Install the input shaft 4th gear bearing (2) and 4th gear (1).
- Install the input shaft left side bearing (1) using the DT-49080 gear, bearing installer (3) and a press.
- Install the 5th gear spacer (2) using the DT-49080 gear, bearing installer (3) and a press.
- Install the input shaft right bearing (2) to the input shaft using the DT-49080 gear, bearing installer (1) and a press.
- Install the gear unit. Refer to Transmission Assemble .
