Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the throttle body and position the air cleaner outlet duct aside. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LV7) .
  3. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe fitting (2) from the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  4. Remove the fuel feed pipe (1) from the retainer (3).
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  6. Remove the front bumper fascia upper molding. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Molding Replacement (Left Side)Front Bumper Fascia Upper Molding Replacement (Right Side)
  7. Remove the fuel feed pipe (2) from the retainers (1).

  8. If equipped, remove the right side of underbody rear air deflector (1). Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement .

  9. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe fitting (4) from the fuel feed/evaporative emission separator hose. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  10. Remove the fuel feed pipe (3) from the retainers (2).
  11. Remove the fuel feed pipe (3) from the vehicle.
