Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission pipe fitting (1) from the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Remove the evaporative emission pipe (2) from the retainer (3).
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Remove the front bumper fascia upper molding. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Molding Replacement (Left Side)Front Bumper Fascia Upper Molding Replacement (Right Side)
  6. Remove the evaporative emission pipe (1) from the retainers (2).

  7. If equipped, remove the right side of underbody rear air deflector (1). Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement .

  8. Disconnect the evaporative emission pipe (4) from the evaporative emission canister purge pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  9. Remove the evaporative emission pipe (3) from the retainers (2).
  10. Remove the evaporative emission pipe (3) from the vehicle.
