Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (LV7) .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  3. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2) and position the air cleaner outlet duct (1) away from the engine.

  4. Using a suitable tool, cut a slot in the tamper-resistant positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) bolt heads (1) and remove with a flat-bladed tool. Discard bolts (1).

  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct assembly (2) with the positive crankcase ventilation tube and valves from the engine. Discard the assembly (2).
