Removal Procedure

- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a)Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) .
- Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LV7) .
- Remove the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement (LV7) .
- Remove the air conditioning compressor tube. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Tube Replacement .
- Disconnect the radiator outlet clamp (1) and hose (2).
- Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor connector (1) and compressor clutch connector (2).
- Remove the thermostat bypass pipe bolts (1) and bracket bolt (2).
- Remove the engine coolant thermostat housing bolts (1).
- Remove the engine coolant thermostat housing (2).
- Remove the 3 water pump bolts (1).
- Remove the water pump assembly (2).
