Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the water pump threads.
  2. Install the water pump assembly (2).

  3. Install the 3 water pump bolts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the engine coolant thermostat housing (2).

  5. Install the coolant thermostat housing bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  6. Install the thermostat bypass pipe bolts (1) and bracket bolt (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Connect the refrigerant pressure sensor connector (1) and compressor clutch connector (2).

  8. Connect the radiator outlet clamp (1) and hose (2).

  9. Install the air conditioning compressor tube. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Tube Replacement .
  10. Install the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement (LV7) .
  11. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LV7) .
  12. Fill the engine cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  13. Charge the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a)Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) .
  14. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
