Removal Procedure

Remove the front compartment splash shield (2). Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .
- Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
- Support the engine. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
- Remove the drivetrain and front suspension frame. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement .
Remove the front engine cover (1). Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .
- Remove the front pipe. Refer to Front Pipe Replacement (LCV) .
Remove the catalytic converter to oil pan brace fasteners (1).
- Remove the catalytic lower brace (2).
- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
Remove the transmission to oil pan fastener (1).
Remove the left oil pan to engine block fasteners (1, 2, 3).
Disconnect the oil level sensor harness connector.
- Remove the oil pan to transmission fastener (2).
- Remove the right oil pan to engine block fasteners (1, 3).
Remove the oil pan (1) from the engine.
