Removal Procedure

- Remove Intake Manifold Cover - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
- Loosen Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1)
- Remove Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (2) @ Air Cleaner Assembly (3)
- Loosen Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1).
- Remove Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (2) @ Turbocharger Assembly (3).
- Remove Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Bolt (1) - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (Camshaft Cover to Air Inlet)
- Rotate the air cleaner outlet duct (1) at the PCV tube's pivot joint (2).
- Only when replacing the air cleaner outlet duct (1) with NEW can the air cleaner outlet duct nipple be cut. Use a suitable tool to cut the air cleaner outlet duct nipple marked by the dashed line (2). Remove air cleaner outlet duct from vehicle and discard.
- Using suitable tools, release the PCV valve tangs (1) while pulling the remaining PCV tube (2) from the PCV hose and discard.
NOTE:
Due to the PCV tamper-resistant connections, the air cleaner outlet duct must be repositioned during repair. Do NOT damage the tamper-resistant connections.
NOTE:
The PCV tube's connections are tamperproof and cannot be disconnected.
