Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

    NOTE:

    This step is necessary only if reusing the old engine oil level indicator switch.

  1. Install NEW Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch O-Ring Seal.
    2. NOTE:
    • Lubricate the O-ring seal (3) with clean engine oil prior to installing the sensor. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
    • Use wire or suitable device to route the sensor connector through the oil pan opening.
  2. Install Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch (1)
  3. Connect Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch (1) @ Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Wire Clip (2)

  4. Pull the sensor connector (2) through the oil pan and ensure that it is fully seated.
  5. Install Engine Oil Level Sensor Lead Clip (1)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Install Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch Bolt (3) and tighten [2x] 10 N.m (89 lb in)
  7. Connect Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch (2)
  8. Install Lower Oil Pan - Lower Oil Pan Replacement
