Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan cover. Oil Pan Cover Replacement 
  2. Fig 1: Oil Level Sensor Connector And Fasteners

  3. Disconnect the engine oil level indicator switch electrical connector (1).
  4. Remove the 2 engine oil level indicator switch fasteners (2).

  6. Remove the engine oil level indicator switch C-clip (1).
  7. NOTE:

    Use wire or suitable device to route the indicator switch connector through the oil pan opening.

  8. Push the engine oil level indicator switch connector (2) through the oil pan to remove.

  10. Remove the engine oil level indicator switch (1) from the oil pan.
  11. NOTE:

    This step is necessary only if reusing the old engine oil level indicator switch.

  12. Remove Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch O-Ring Seal and DISCARD
